Any pagans or esotreic folks out there who haven't given this a whirl may want to do so: Condensed Chaos:An Introduction To Chaos Magic.
I bet you a dollar you find some of the techniques useful, no matter what your thing is. It is an accessible book written by a witty and knowledgable man. An easy and enjoyable read.
