Default Vedas and the Gita?

How can the gita be more important then the vedas. The vedas has been there since the dawn of time, it ha scovered almost every aspect of life, whereas the gita is jus a commentary of atma between arjuna and krishna bhagawan, how is this possible, i'd appreciate if no ISCKON devotees would reply, since you worship krishna bhagawan you would give a biased reply. Any views?
