I find it interesting that only the pseudo-Christian Mormons have used "Christ" in their answer.

But I suppose that's for another thread.

But repentance, at least from a Christian standpoint, is only made possible through Christ. So if I say "repentence", being Christian, there's an automatic assumption that Christ is included. Christ is nothing if not the one who validates repentence. But, meh. Maybe that IS for another thread.

As Luke noted, there's not really a holy text for our path, except the ones that we write ourselves. I've been going over my scribblings (both of my own words and those of more talented word-smiths) and, of those that I've written down to save, mercy, compassion and justice tend to be the major themes.

when i look over the texts which i hold as holy, i see right effort, compassion, selflessness, and devotion as key themes.

Sometimes I see simply living decently and honoring your ancestors, and other times I find Snorri's Christian bias, depending on where I read.

I have an idea. Why not post your Five Tenants of Faith? I am sure that someone in this forum can tell you if you are crazy or right. Then, you only have to be afraid of one thing, not two.

The sacred text that I follow is the Bible. The main message I get from it is that God rules and that He is working out a plan for mankind to bring those who are willing to believe, trust, and obey Him into His family for all eternity.

Atheism has no text so:
Live life to it's fullest as this is the only one you get.
Do your best to make life better for others.
