This book was given to me from my sister as a christmas present. It is wonderful for anyone curious of the Buddhist faith. it explains the basics and the indepth in nice and simple words. at first i was turned off because of the 'complete idiots' title, because c'mon, i'm no idiot! (i'm a moron, thank-you-very-much) but it really is just for the common joe man while still giving us of intellect the fruit of the religion. read it! it's great.

I've read other idiot's guides. They are well put together, a wonderful place to begin a path.

Some of those books are used by ministers. I have a couple on world religion and spirituality. They are composed by experts in the field.
