Default Muslims: A Good Translation of the Qu'ran?

Could anyone recommend a good English translation of the Qu'ran that doesn't have any side notes, but is faithful to the original language, while at the same time beautiful to read even for a non-Muslim?

Thanks in advance.

Look beautiful to read ... beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

www3.alislam.org

You will find there translations of the Quran (word for word and word for word with some extra words that are understood in meaning) with and without explanations as well as a comprehensive English and Arabic search engine.

Riverwolf,

There is a quranist translation titled "The Qur'an: A Pure and Literal Translation" which has no footnotes and is a literal translation of the quran without any footnotes.
