These are a few of my poems. Comments are welcome.
Awakening - A sonnet A supernal flower opens to the night, Where Goddess moon echoes the bright of day Who reaches out her many hands to speak Immortal words which proclaim no misplaced might. The blossom bows to chaos and it prays That the food of darkness it may keep; Though the beauty knows not cruelty nor true right, It hopes it may always have a say As part of nature's energy it reaps. But all that is and can be lost, May be destroyed by one cold frost. |

The Emperor (inspired by the tarot card)
The bull of the masculine Is determined to succeed; Through storm and fire, flood and drought Never to concede. Direct and determined, He knows his own might, But forces on for himself To bring the end to sight. With the spirit of a child, Who has come out to play, Come the cracks in purpose And so brings in delay. But for now this concrete, Stable and controlled, Will continue to build strength, And on his goal, keep hold. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Denial The cell of spirit will never the learn What truely lies within; The corridors of fear and shame Run deeper than the skin. For all these days night rested Upon this mortal soul; I reached out to the darkness To find that hate had left a hole. The sun shined through no window, No brightness I could see; I begged til my heart bled Though my mind did not agree. Time has no meaning here; Imprisoned life is long. I'll rot here til I forget the life that Death has but prolonged. |

And these two lines are simply a poem on their own. I wrote them a while ago and never managed to write suitable material in which to include them.
Have the mists of time cleared the conscience of the mind? Or am I still lost in the sands that Chronos could not clear? |

hmm no replies, oh well. Another new poem of mine
You kissed me like a lover And held me as if my brother Ignored my faults as would my maker Told the future as though a soothsayer You’ve been there since time began Yet younger than what the songbird sang There is nothing that you do not know Yet you mimic the earth just like the crow. If the world was not like it had been Would it be you that I had seen In all my dreams and so banished the pain That had been my life’s great bane. |
