Default More prayers, please?

As if the van was not enough, the collections people (from a bill from a emergency local hospital that was sent to a collections agency) have begun calling again. I was apparently a fool to listen to what they said, which is "this is what you have to send each month." My mom was not well enough at the time to explain to me that a person can still make payments on the bill, so it was quite a few months before I understood that. By that time, the collections people were becoming even more abusive with their calls, insisting that they could garnish 50% of my wages (according to the sources I can find, they can garnish 10%) if the thing went to court. (Funnily enough, that would have been less than what the payments they were asking me to make was.) They also tried to say that they would not honor a do-not-call letter, which many of the websites that help laypeople with these things insist on.

Now, after sending in a $10 payment and an explanation about what financial circumstances were, they left us alone for a few months. Today, they started calling again, ridiculing me for having sent in only that much over a period of a few years. I tried explaining that I would be paying more if I was financially able, and that I had informed them of this and that I am continuing to feel threatened by their agency. They kept trying to say 'well, we'll just have to send this to our lawyers' as an intimidation tactic.

I'm feeling scared and trapped at the moment, between the neighbors and the collections agency. My depression, which I have not had symptoms of for about a year, seems to be coming back. Could you please send more kind wishes? Sorry to bug everyone twice in one day!

Of course Feathers! You are definitely in my thoughts for this and the neighbour situation. May the Goddess protect you and your family and provide you with all things necessary to overcome this difficult time you are going through.

Absolutely, Feathers. I will be praying for you and keeping you in my thoughts.
