"I'm going out telling the story that I think is the biggest story of our time: how the right-wing media has become a partisan propaganda arm of the Republican National Committee. We have an ideological press that's interested in the election of Republicans, and a mainstream press that's interested in the bottom line. Therefore, we don't have a vigilant, independent press whose interest is the American people." -- Bill Moyers, Final PBS "Now" Episode, Dec. 17, 2004 Is there any agreement here on Religious Forums??? |

I don`t know if his premises are correct but I can`t argue with the conclusion.

I think it is funny how conservatives call the press liberal, and liberals call the press conservative, and then conservatives and liberals jump on whichever bandwagon serves their purposes. I think there are arguments either way, and it really just depends on what channel you are watching and which editorialized "news caster" is reporting. As I have said before, it is a popularity contest. If you are a conservative, you watch Fox News. If you are liberal, you watch CNN. If you are muslim you watch Al JAzeera, and if you are a Christian wacko, you watch the 700 Club. As for me, I read Far Side cartoons and read the cereal box in the morning. What does that make me?

CNN, liberal? The station that barely showed the protestors to Bush's inauguration, and called them unimportant when they did show them?
Yes, how liberal. |

Jensa, I am not looking for an argument here.
CNN is definitely more liberal than Fox News. That was my comparison. But, what do consider a news outlet with more of a liberal slant.

The local Baptist church's newsletter--and remember, I'm in Georgia--is liberal compared to Fox news.
