I'm more than open to the possibility, SunMessenger. If pressed, I'd say he does believe he's doing God's Work. There are some obvious con men out there, mostly in the faith healing line, but I don't think Pat Robertson would fit that at all.

I think he's advocated a few things here and there that seem a bit strange to me, nothing illegal at all that I've ever heard, but I don't expect infallibility from anyone anyway.

Robertson's Christian Broadcast Network estimates its American audience at about 1 million people, and its international audience at several million more. That's 1 million out of about 300 million Americans. In other words, Robertson's audience is significantly less than 1% of the population. At that rate, it is even conceivable that Robertson's audience is largely drawn from the portion of the population that is mentally or emotionally ill. I don't say that without having had some personal experience to back up that guess. Several mentally or emotionally ill people I know of have, at one time or another, been exploited by the religions they turned to for help. That is, their money was taken, and they were given no effective counseling or help for their illness in return. And, I've seen many more mentally or emotionally ill people turn to religion in their distress. So, I have a hunch that Robertson is the sort of nutter who might have great appeal to such unfortunate folk.

It is wrong to judge Robertson's audience and termed them as mentally or emotionally ill. They are just misguided sheep. Robertson could be a wolf in sheep's skin, so he could be Satan camoflaged. We just need to pray to have those audience having a chance of listening to sounder Christian preaching, or as a matter of fact, any teaching that will open their eyes to logical reasoning, read widely, and see things at different perspective instead of from the narrow perspective of the Christianity view preached by Robertson with his own ulterior motive.

I still hear lots of accusations . Istill see no proof of wrong doing. Before a judgement is passed I refer to Psalm 7 a portion of it is quoted below... Thank You...
