Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Goldman Sachs Group between 1999 and 2006. This is the same period which sub-prime mortgage securities became the popular money making activities for the Investment Bankers. So, we can confidently say that Paulson was an expert in those security transactions.

Since Paulson became Secretary of Treasury in 2006, the housing mortgage foreclosures started to accelerate throughout the USA. Sec. Paulson knew better than anybody else the problem which such consumer foreclosures would cause for some Wall Street firms and the general economy, BUT HE DID NOTHING to curb that hardship for the American homeowners.

We have seen some firms are already benefiting from this financial turmoil; JP Morgan got the Washington Mutual assets for pennies on dollar! I guess this $700 Billion would make this turmoil even sweeter for few special firms! The powerful rich openly planted their expert agent in the Government to administer this financial turmoil very smoothly!

What kind of Government do we have after all!? Is this the Government of the People, by the People, for the People!? This is the Great American Myth! The American intellectuals should expose this Myth more aggressively. The Truth may set us free! And maybe acknowledging the Truth helps us to modify our expectations.

This reaffirms what I've been hearing and most Americans aren't aware that this type of scam has been reaped throughout history. The notion of the American dream has been used like a hypnotist's watch to distract Americans from realizing their demise. What a shame.
