Because the current leadership is giving gobs and gobs of our money to their friends in the form of earmarks, defense spending and no-bid contracts. So they lie to people and say that they can do so while cutting taxes for these same friends . . . all the while stealing our money and borrowing from foreign governments so we and our children and grandchildren have to pay it back with interest into the foreseeable future. In short . . . they think the American voters are incredibly stupid. . . and . . . they're probably right.
