I agree. I don't think that accusations like that should be made in the absence of direct quotations. If it is true then it can't hurt to spread them around now can it?

Okay, a study said that Bush and his administration made false statements. Do you have any examples? Do you know there is a difference between making false statements and lying?

These were outright fabrications to one end: START A WAR! You have been DUPED. Unfortunately for you, most of the nation has finally figured this out already. I have been screaming this ever since the invasion.

That study does not make the conclusion that Bush lied. It makes the conclusion that he made false statements.

If it is trivial, you should find it easy enough to not be bothered by the attempt. Otherwise, you should question your reluctance.
