I suppose, i mean but if there is rock hard evidence that someone killed soemeone then i think they should be killed.

Murder, I've read, has a relatively low recidivism rate. Why not apply our harshest penalties to crimes likely to be repeated?
What, exactly, is the goal of execution? What is its function? What is it supposed to accomplish? Why would this function be reserved primarily for homicide -- a crime unlikely to be repeated, yet not apply to armed robbery, burglery, serial rape and other crimes with high recidivism rates? |
