My basis on voting for them is not of their color, gender, religion or lack thereof. It will be whoever most closeley matches up with what I believe.

I vote for candidates based on issues, not religion, gender, or ethnicity.
And, besides, the one who has my vote isn't represented in your poll.

It's less than 50% for an atheist candidate.

Me? I usually go with the one with the best teeth. Straight, perfect teeth is such a resounding mark of character, don't you think? (Admittedly hair and grooming is also important.) I tend not to worry too much about ethics or anything so silly, as it is not like many politicians worth their salt have any ethics otherwise they would never rise to the top of the heap. Likewise, I don't worry terribly much about issues, as it is not like politician's are experts on any of the topics they discuss (somewhat like folks here on RF in a way).

While great hair and teeth are important qualities to have in a president, I decide most of my vote on whether they have a wonderful feel for scatological humor. Any president who can make a refreshing joke about poop gets both my admiration and my loyalty.

I hope that society would be more intelligent than to vote by strickly a persons race or religion. Just my thoughts.
