Over Reaction to Mooninites in Boston...
Not sure this is the best place for this... but it's about our current climate of political hysteria. Consider this story: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/01/31/bos...are/index.html
No really... this is true. They went ga ga over lite brites in the shape of a cartoon. They incapacitated the whole city over this and they have the gall to blame the public relation people for Adult Swim. I wonder what is next? Notable quotes: "It had everything a bomb would have except explosives." (No, I didn't make this up either) "It is what it is." (Then why blow up a perfectly good Lite Brite?) Interesting revelation: They have been up for WEEKS.

The guys who set them up are my new heroes. Not because of the advertising, but because of how they're handling it all. I saw on the news and people were asking questions about it. They just insisted on talking about hair. That was awesome.

The press conference was brilliant!
 I can't believe there are some people, on other forums I shall not mention, that actually side with the AG and stating that those Lite Brites could have been bombs.

The whole thing is hysterically funny.
Those things were set up in several other cities, and no one panicked. And now they want to blame their hysteria on a couple of guys who obviously recognize this as the laughable overreaction that it is. I look forward to seeing the city dads try to stick the cost on someone else. I saw the judge in today's hearing ask a rather pointed question about whether their "intent" was to cause havoc. Good luck with that. Good luck sticking it to Turner too...their intent in the other cities was pretty clear. We're so paranoid at this point, and with no purpose, that all I can say is, I'm not sure I wanna be this "safe."
