what with the war in Lebanon the situation in Gaza has been somewhat overshadowed, I think its time for un forces sauch as that in Lebanon were deployed in Gaza also and if the suspension of the withdrawal from the west bank is resumed the same there also, i think its the only way forward

no it isn't. The UN has shown a complete ineptitude at doing or stopping anything, especially when it comes to the Israeli-Arab conflict.

this will only prolong the conflict, solving nothing.

well if Annan and the UN are counting on Syria to keep the weapons away from Hezbullah (which the UN is) i think one can only be but so optimistic
