Instead of playing the role of world police, and guardian of democracy, it is perhaps more important for the American to clean their own house:

Milwaukee has been infested with drug lords and gangs for a long time. This tragic crime was likely gang related, and is obviously not reflective of what one would normally experience as typical 'Life in These United States". Of course one of the pitfalls of living in a free society is having to contend with crime and domestic violence within the limitations of a legal structure which is sometimes compromised by zealots -- who would rather handcuff the police than risk even the slightest possibility of violating someone's constitutional rights. Sorry, but as to how this incident relates directly to our role as an international superpower constantly called upon to lend military support and economic aid to weaker nations is beyond me. At least in this country child rape is illegal. And rape is still punishable by law WITHOUT the testimony of "four adult men" as eyewitnesses.

Given human nature GC, any society is going to have people in it who do evil things, and that will be especially true of a large society like America. For every evil act in this society, there are probably thousands of acts of kindness, compassion, generosity, etc. Yet you choose to point out one horrendous act and call all of America sick. Do you think that's reasonable?

To present this incident as evidence that America needs to 'clean their own house' is a sick and pathetic exercise in intellectual dishonesty. Frubals to Moon Woman and Sunstone for pointing out the obvious in challenging this drivel. ![]()

Perhaps if the good people of Milwaukee handled the 20 boys and the 16 year old girl in this manner, that would qualify understand the thread starter's challenge to 'clean house'.
