However, having said all that, human has evolved and becomes civilized. And as a civilized people, we should avoid hatred, and commit crime of genocide, whether it is the genocide of the Jews during WWII, or the genocide of the north American native during the Columbus time of White man discovery of the new world

etc.

i have taken this post from another thread and would ask the question what was the motivation of the conquistadors ,and are their atrocities remembered as christian spanish, or white , in my experience a lot of people put it down as the white man. I for one put all their actions and cruelty down to gold and being affected by the sickness of greed and i know they were spanish.
I do however find it slightly offensive for that repulsive episode of human history to be labeled as the white man (although i am a shade of pink with fair hair and blue eyes i am classed as white)

I vote for the greed and avarice. Oh, they happened to be from Spain. Avarice can be found anywhere, though.

otoh, it's accurate to describe them as Europeans, which some people call "white." I prefer to refer to the geography, as it's more neutral.

Genocide of the south american native is a combination of the Spanish explorer's greed + fundamental christian zealous believe in spreading the word of God according to their interpretation. Hence christianity has been make use of in this case.

Genocide of the north american native is a pure lust for a new home. Those new explorers, new arrivals in north america who wanted to make the new found land their new home land, as they see plenty of 'free land' available as compared to their country of origin, they simply ignore those native who were supposed to have the first right to the land, and they employ the power of western civilization of industrial age invention of guns to conquer the land and obliterate the native race

Genocide of the Jews in the holocaust by the German Nazi has its origin in the race.

Genocide of the kurds by the Sunni, or Sunni by the Shiite or vice versa has the origin of both race and religion

Genocide of the Palestinian by the Israeli has the origin of the greed for land and believe of taking back own property from the Zionist point of view.

Genocide in the various African nations are mostly tribal or racial fighting.

So only a few cases are greed inspired, mostly is related to race or religion.

True, only in the case of discovery of the new land of North and South America, that the heat of searching for gold was the driving factor.

However, Black Gold is the previous commodity everyone is going after, and hence all the dispute of boundaries and island currently going on all over the world.

yes good point one tribe will fight another for its land or possesions and think its ok because they are a different race or religion it kind of legitimises it
