Have you read this poem? (hell, pray, faith, Christian)

[greatcalgarian]

Patient and steady with all he must bear,
Ready to meet every challenge with care,
Easy in manner, yet solid as steel,
Strong in his faith, refreshingly real.
Isn't afraid to propose what is bold,
Doesn't conform to the usual mould,
Eyes that have foresight, for hindsight won't do,
Never backs down when he sees what is true,
Tells it all straight, and means it all too.
Going forward and knowing he's right,
Even when doubted for why he would fight,
Over and over he makes his case clear,
Reaching to touch the ones who won't hear.
Growing in strength he won't be unnerved,
Ever assuring he'll stand by his word.
Wanting the world to join his firm stand,
Bracing for war, but praying for peace,
Using his power so evil will cease,
So much a leader and worthy of trust,
Here stands a man who will do what he must.

Actually I think it is the usual but written with falsity. Corrections follow:

Patient and steady with all his coverups,
Ready to meet sacrifice freedom for "security",
Easy in manner, foppish in rule,
Strong in his faith, but willing to sell it to others with stronger faith,
Isn't afraid to propose retention of privilige,
Does seem to be taken to flights of fanatasy about others weapons,,
Eyes that have foresight, but located where the sun don't shine,
Never backs down when he is advised not to,
Tells it all to straights, and is means it all others,
Going toward the Christian Right and knowing he's getting votes,
Even when fighting for what he should have doubted is right
Over and over he makes his case clear by over and over clearing up what he said earlier,
Reaching to touch the ones who aren't male (oh wait, that was Clinton),
Growing unnerved is using military strength,
Ever assuring he'll stand by his word but wishing he hadn't said it in the first place,
Wanting the world to join his firm stand and to hell with the world when they don't join him,
Brokering for war, and praying for more governement contracts,
Using his power so his evil will not be discovered,
So little leadership without the inner circle unworthy of trust,
Here stands a man who we must repudiate

Thank you for the new word - "acrostic"; I doubt that I'll remember it, but thanks anyway.

As to the poem; I read it before going to the link. I was thinking to myself "Good poem, nice idealistic writing, why is Pah being rude about it ?"

Then I looked at the link.............

A lovely peace of work actually; I would have thought on a par with Rudyard Kipling's 'If'; too ideal for us humans though................oh dear, now I am becoming a cynic..can't have that..........
