US Media Ignores Reports of Torture! (church, baptist, Roman)

If the stories where credible, I'm sure to news stations would run with it. Most news stations, except FOX news, are anti Bush, and anything to make Bush look bad they will do.

I think Jeff made a valid point. Mind you, soldiers suffering from the stress of Guerilla warfare..............

I am sure soldiers of every army have behaved badly. At the time of the Roman empire, the soldiers were allowed to relieve their tension by looting and pillaging. Some thing has to crack, somewhere. That is why I hate was so much; I am sure it makes an animal out of the best of them.

I think a significant point here is that neither Project Censored nor the ACLU is saying that the torture is systematic. Perhaps these are "accidental" deaths. I put accidental in quotes, though, because once you decide to torture someone, how much of an accident is it if they die under that torture?

I wasn't thinking so much of that aspect, as the whole principle of detention at Guantanámo Bay; that is a human rights scandal - just do a Google search on the name.

Not really. Most news corps now just want to pander to their sponsours and keep the public entertained, not educated.

I'm curious of this liberal bias in mainstream news, I've never seen it.

I don't think the so called liberal bias is nearly so great nor so pronounced as it's hyped to be.

Can you remember the CBS story that they ran with about Bush in the guard, knowing it might not be true and ended up getting egg on their face?
