I think liberals were spoiled during the 60s and 70s. I don't think they realize how serious conservatives are about establishing free peoples and free markets. Liberalism keeps pushing as if it never lost power, which is admirable. Conservatives need to remember how successful liberalism has been and how hard we have to be willing fight to secure our way of life. We can't slow down or pause for even a second. The ACLU and the Teachers' Union are the two most powerful liberal institutions left in this country and they need to be dealt with swiftly. Then we can deal with the institutions and bureaucracies liberalism has established, i.e. the IRS and the Welfare State. Free Peoples and Free Markets work... all we have to do is be willing to work hard on their behalf.

And you prove to me that their are two kinds of people, the informed and the ignorant. Your post convinces me that you are the latter.

The ACLU believes themselves to be infallible, which is very scary to me, especially when this infallable, air of supperiority, is matched by an ever growing sense that to be against the ACLU is not PC. Thankfully this sentiment is starting to change, and the ACLU is starting to have to prove their ridiculous lawsuits, rather than being taken at their word because they are the ACLU. I think that in the beginning they had some good ideas (30 years ago) but have evolved into something else entirely, and instead and protecting peoples freedoms, they have just been a major part of stripping Americans of more and more freedoms. This case is a good example of it. They have no mandate to interfear with international law, and US law does not apply since the terrorist's that the ACLU is trying to protect (read that a few times for emphasis) are not American citizens.

Why do Americans get so worked up about something like Politics? Ultimately the rich will always have power. Accept. Move on.

We see the effects of politics so clearly here. Politics is also a national past time. We take it very, very seriously.

It's good and bad. I imagine it makes us a little annoying though.

I think the best thing to do is wait for the outcome to see who is blamed for what next...Ya know it's comin' I'm getting sick of political groups who think they are all that. Most do more harm than good to begin with. If the CIA IS doing something wrong then they should be found out...it's no different than anyone else doing wrong....I imagine the ACLU has it's share of skeletons as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong but : Isn't it the CIA's Job description, to bend (if not outright break) the law in order to insure that American talisman of holiness ''National Security"

Actually yes they sort of CAN make their own rules within a set of rules...I personally think they are along the same line as the KGB is in Russia. I don't have personal info on all that gunk cuz I don't mind anyones business but my own. I'm sure someone will tell you a whole lot more on the function of the CIA .

The KGB was dissolved with the Soviet Union. I think they are called the ?GRU? now. Ex-KGB members formed most of the Current Russian Mafia. Which explains why they'd rather kill their enemies, than ask questions.
