well you know things are looking bad for shrub and his goon squad when they have to doctor up news and sell it to the iraqi news to justify their actions. "many articles are unbiased" "basically factual" what ever happend to shrub and his calls for democracy in iraq? i didn't realize that doctored up news propanganda was in line with democracy?

Saudi Arabia and Israel have both done the same thing in the New York Times. A couple of things are going on. 1. PsyOps. It's effective and important. 2. We need to encourage the Iraqis that want freedom and opportunity and discourage the Iraqis that want to create a terrorist Islamist State. Really, whose side are you liberals on? It's almost impossible to tell.

Maybe we liberals just don't think that lying to the Iraqi people will convince them that everything is going as planned as their country burns around them. But maybe I'm wrong. Did positive (fabricated) stories in the Stars and Stripes help us to achieve glorious victory in Vietnam? I can't remember.

No one lied. The information in those articles was factual. Liberals are upset because it's one-sided. Because their boys, the terrorists, are being treated negatively. It is becoming more and more obvious whose side the liberals are on. And I don't say that to be flip. I'm finding it almost impossible to believe that liberals are on America's side... or not on the side of the terrorists. If liberals aren't on the side of the terrorists, I do know that they are not on America's side, or if they are, their "America" is not my America. I won't be surprised if in several years, liberals and conservatives will be faced with a war of our own.

i am well aware that saudi and israel and probably other countries have done the same thing. it is propanganda pure and simple. but this propanganda falls under the tag of pysilogical warfare and that my friend is a no no.

this is not a conseritive/liberal thing. this is about whats right and whats wrong. this further goes to prove that this entire operation was and still is a total lie, a lie that we the american public, world and above all the iraqi public was fed and this lie has resulted in the deaths of far too many people. (all sides involved)

the fact that the military is paying the iraqi news to print articles should be a red flag to all of us. this is a flag i would think people (reguardless of stance on this war) would step back and say wooooh, what the heck is up with this? that fact that they are bending the truth to fit their own needs is flat out wrong. they even admited in the article that they bent the truth, and you see no problem with this? i am shocked considering you are a believer in freedom that you would condone such a thing.

i understand what you are saying about the enemy forces and how it is better for us the invader to use propanganda, but the fact that we have resorted to using propanganda means that we are not welcome in this country. i just read a poll that stated 80% of all iraqis (reguardless of sect, etc.) polled said they wanted the invaders to leave them alone and get out of their country. 80%! that should speak volumes to anyone who is down with freedom.

I am disapointed that you have adopted the rhetoric of Ann Coulture, you can certainly do much better than that. I really wish that you wouldn't exploit every thread to attack liberals and claim that they hate America, it's absurd. Neither conservatives nor liberals are on the side of the terrorists, to suggest otherwise is laughable. As Almifkhar stated, this is not even an issue of conservative vs liberal, this is an issue of right vs wrong, truth vs lies. It is an issue of integrity and of honesty. Both liberals and conservatives can be on the correct side of this issue. If you think otherwise, then I am sorry that your mind is closed beyond hope of repair.
