I actually felt myself become a republican today (moral, America)

The seperation into parties was one of Americas biggest mistakes it just makes a divide that doesn't allow the one side to see the vaildity of the other sides claims. Each party have some truth to them but the problem is they fight to much betweeen each other, lik sometimes if a liberal tries to pass a new law that will help everyone out some conservatives will vote against it just because the other guy is a liberal and vice versa, and they do this because that is what a lot of the public wants they want to "take out" the other party instead of doing whats best for the nation. I just read this in another thread

This seems like a leftist paranoia page designed to vilify the Christian right. The quotes are all taken out of context and carefully selected to make a point. Likening Christians here to the Taliban is a cheap shot and indicative of the gross exaggeration and paranoia of that site.

Now Theodor didn't even read the page but automaticly assumed it was left wing propaganda and no factual base at all. I just wish people would see the problems that political parties cause

Yes, he's a kick in the pants! I enjoy hearing opposing views though, so I have never used ignore. He has his opinions and I have mine, but I don't really have a problem with that. He seems to be genuinely concerned about our country and our troops, as am I, so I can't fault him for that. We just differ politically. We're all Americans first, and then Republicans and Democrats after that.

He did acknowledge his sources, it was just not in a manner usually done. Now that I am aware of his methodology, I shouldn't have a problem with that anymore.

I have voted for both Republican and Democratic presidents also. I always try to vote the man and not the party, it just works out that most of the time it's a Democrat. So I guess in that sense, I am a, "Lefty". When I voted Republican, I guess I was a, "Rightie". Oh well!
Lefty or rightie are labels that restrict our view of the whole person down to a narrow slice of who they really are. I try not to label anyone, but sometimes it happens..

He called me a traitor and that was the end of it for me. I just don't need the abuse: I get enough of that from my kids. Few people who know me would ever call me a "leftie" much less a traitor. I guess the anonymity of the internet enables people to label others without much thought.

out of context? I am sorry if my earlier post seemed like a personal attack but when I read your post it seemed like you said you didn't read the page and were just judging it by the title. Lastly is it so hard to believe that these people actually said and meant these things I mean their titles range from White Supremacist, to Center for Reclaiming America, to Christian Defense Coalition. These people feel that their religion is under specific attack when they think it should be the religion, they are angry and so they take it out on specific groups.

I could do the same thing with any single or group of people I wanted to vilify. Have you ever said anything when your emotions were running high that you would have later stated a little differently? Have you ever had anything you said taken out of context and used against you?
Take Ann Coulter for example. A lot of what she says is tongue in cheek. She also says things just to tweak the left. But if you read what she says in context, it often has an entirely different meaning that quoting it alone. Context is everything.
Why don't you research some of these people and see for yourself if they are as sinister as they are portrayed to be.
