What I'm rather amazed at is that this is still going on. What does everyone think would be Bush's best option to defuse this situation? Should he simply not worry about it and hope the coverage of it dies down, or should he meet with the mother, and then be able to reply to whatever questions might be asked "She wanted me to meet with her and I met with her"? I'm speaking not in terms of what he should do, but in terms of what might be the best way to prevent news coverage of this story.

He’ll just ignore her and let things run their course. She is not going to change his mind so what’s the use. Bush has better things to do than meet with this nut case AGAIN.

Statements like this make me think that you want us to fail. Remember, it took the US nine years to come up with a Constitution. Have some patience. The terrorists are coming in from Syria, Iran and to a lesser extent Jordan. Not many of them are Iraqi. Our policies do not create terrorism either. Are there still problems? Yes, but that is not the point. We have our own problems here, but when they aren't fixed immediately we don't give up, call ourselves and the people working on them failures and leave. The point of my whole argument is that things are better and getting that way. But, for some reason many people seem to think they are worse. If you wanted to know the truth of the matter it is easy enough to find out through some research. Personally, I wouldn't trust a lot of journalism that comes from someone who has onyl been in the gree zone. That is and has been the focus of terrorist activity for a while now.

If you sit and wait and ask nicely, hope, etc. The only thing that is guaranteed is that many more people will die than is necessary.

Since when does the president control gas prices? Prices won’t come down until demand comes down. It’s called supply and demand and is part of the capitalistic system we have here. The Government doesn't control the economy in this country.

Run, Run the sky is falling. Very dramatic but not based in reality. I’ve been hearing this same prediction from the left since I can remember. There will be good times and bad times just like always. We will pull out of Iraq when we are good and ready, not because some woman is camped in Crawford.

You can whine and make up sinister scenarios about Bush all you want but it won’t change a thing either. Unlike his predecessor, President Bush doesn’t make his decisions based on public opinion polls. The MSM has always painted him in a bad light so he doesn’t pay attention to them either. He has the backing of the American people which is all he needs.
