If the president really believed that this war was just, he WOULD have sent his own kids. He doesn't mind sacrificing others for Haliburton's War... as long as he and his homies rake in the profits, he's willing to live with it.

Right now, the Defense Department states that roughly 38% of our volunteer force, did so after 9/11 and that number is growing. Recreuiting numbers are down, but the quotas for recruiting are down as well. The military doesn't need as many people and we are still getting all the people that the Defense Dapartment asks for. The reserves are rotating ina nd out like every other military unit whether it be active or reserve. Right now people are being sent on 12 month dployments, which is down from the original 18 months at the start of the conflict. As far as the person you refer to engineering the war, this has been discussed and debated for so long on this thread, that I really don't care to get into it again. IF this is your basis for supporting Mrs. Sheehan, then fine, I am tired of arguing the point. I do think it is interesting though that with over 1400 soldiers killed in the conflict, only one mother has comeout and made such a spectacle, and her own family thinks that she is embarrassing herself, her family and the memory of herson. something to keep in mind and perspective. I have the greatest sympathy for her loss, I really do, but her actions do not reflect well on the memroy of her son, who from all accounts, was proud of his service to our country.

Swift boat veterans? Well, I support them. Not that has anything at all to do with the issue.

Do you honestly believe that he is making some kind of personal profit from Iraq? Do you even know what Haliburton does? They don't drill for oil. They manufacture equipment. They are basically a bunch of engineers that build equipment based upon the area that they are dealing with. They were given a contract to build the proper equipment to extract teh oil in the region, but they will not make any money from the sell of that oil. His children are adults NetDoc, he can't force them to join the military. That's why I said the argument is ludicrous. But, do you think that he would not let them join the military if they so desired? If that is the case, do have a legitimate reason based upon an example to support this claim?

Unfortunately, YES. I had an interesting talk with one of Haliburton's childhood friends at the Jamboree. He's the one who called it "Haliburton's War". I was shocked at the level of understanding this individual has about Haliburton's involvement in the war and it includes high level staff.

I ask you pointedly: How many killings were taking place when we invaded Iraq? Now how about Darfur? Where were we really needed? Does Darfur have any oil refineries that would benefit Haliburton? Does Darfur provide any opportunities for Haliburton at all?

It's no wonder that we invaded Iraq and that oil is now $2.50 a gallon. If you don't think that Shrub has a HUGE kickback coming, you are incredibly deceived.

Oh yeah... Iraq took the focus off the administration's FAILED attempt to capture Osama Bin Laden. They saw themselves as the laughing stock of the world, the US included. This was as much an attempt to save face, win the election as it was to generate a profit for his homies. Did I mention that I see the man as inherently evil? Sheehan is a loon. Her whole family has disowned her and considers her a disgrace. Her husband, who is a Democrat, left her because of her politics and her state of mind. She is way off the deep end which is probably why you are so enamored with her.

Oh to answer your last point.

The war has always been about graft and corruption, and while I do not hate Shrub, I do depise his actions. The only "noble" thing about Haliburton's War are the men and women who are sacrificing their lives on a daily basis for our country. It is not their fault that their commander in chief is a lying murderer, bent on being remembered as "The War President".
