Schiavo and Political Rhetoric (sunday)

I was on the road today, and had the (dis)pleasure of listening to Sean Hannity, former plumber turned genius talk show host, discussing the Schiavo case with the talking heads that have been hired to come in and tell us that all of the doctors that have examined Terry Schiavo up til now are incompetent.

Does anyone else feel repulsed by the use of hyperbole and rhetoric in an effort to force the will of the political right wing on the rest of the US?

Bush pushed for and then signed into law a Texas bill that allowed doctors and hospitals to remove a feeding tube if the patient could not pay (indigent) REGARDLESS of the wishes of the family or the prognosis of the patient.

Justice seems to be only available to the rich. How sad and how hypocritical.

If this is true (and I have no reason to believe that it isn't), the press ought to drag Bush through the mud on this one - ask him to explain the difference in the two cases - although I'm sure he wouldn't have the courage to admit that the Schiavo case is politically expedient for his cause (of claiming the moral high ground and pandering to the religious right).

I wonder why some people see our fearless leader as a hypocrite? Did I mention a spineless hand puppet grasping for power and fame?

I just think its sad that Terry has to die in such a barbaric way because of one @$%#$* judge and lack of speed in the goverment. The poor lady.
