If I hear Sean Hannity say "They don't starve dogs, why should they be allowed to starve Terry?" one more time, I think I'll puke...

Not to sound coarse about this, but if a dog were brain dead, they would have put it to sleep fifteen years ago. This poor woman is being made a martyr for the Right to Life cause. I hope that when her body finally slips from this world, she finds peace, whatever form that takes for her.

I can no longer be a part of a forum that berates and belittles those who would stand up against the starvation of a human being whose only crime was to not properly tell people her wishes in a living will. I don't know that I will ever understand the mindset of those of you who have such obvious hatred for those that hold Terri's life in the same regard as our own. Her life is just as precious as mine or yours, and I don't understand how the idea of wanting to preserve and protect her life can be regarded with such disdane. I have been called a lot of names in my life, and many of them probably deserved at one time or another, but to be called an ultra conservative wacko, trying to push thru a religious agenda is beyond laughable, and I believe quite undeserved.

It has been a pleasure talking with some of you and sharing thoughts and ideas, but I have really had a hard time taking the beating that has been dished out on this issue. I hope that some of you will learn to practice what you preach when it comes to tolerance. Take care and best wishes.

Don't go! This is a very sensitive subject, and argument is going to get heated and people will say things out of turn, but you're entitled to your opinion. If you go its like admitting your opinion isn't as strong as others, stay and fight your corner! Or maybe just ignore this post and continue in the other boards.

I'm sorry, perhaps I've been oblivious, but I haven't noticed any name-calling. I really, really like you, and maybe if we can spot any posts where name-calling has been done, we can work together to heal the forum? If someone has called you an ultra conservative wacko, then I will not be happy with them. Much of the anger that seems to be welling up over the last few days is from people that do not usually speak for the majority of us, and I wouldn't want that to be driving you away.
