The abyss of my soul is forgotten,
the once passive inferior me is now broken apart in my destiny. And my view of the world is now rotten. All is now shattered but can be replaced. I will invoke a new power to bind it and risk the bold devilry’s evil commands. This is my role in this world that I face. Yet I change the world and lift my soul and fight. And my powers though minute will always win. With a liquid core in balance with the sins of worldly spirits and the spirit folk alike. But my advisement comes to those outside of balance. Within the world of man and civil-like society. For spirits of the world are one connected essence. Including your souls and the souls of many deities. Love is above human’s weak regulations. It is a precedent prior to morals and the only way to dwell at all. Even without laws or major religions. Head my warnings and live in the light. For the way of the soul is the way of the mind. So I tell you, obey your emotions and let your soul fight. The emotionless dream you are seeming to see, can only be half of the world you inspire. I speak for the ones who do not speak in our choir, but know of the world that our souls only breathe. ______________ Of all the days and months that come and go, I wander through the woods and in the stream. And in this book I ramble to and fro. Although my body lives my mind does dream. I live the days as seasons count the hours, With time and moons to count the many months, And this, my book to let my spirit soar. Inside I pour my lasting list of wants. I wish that when I leave my words remain, With pages many that I have lived within, And stories plenty that I have told to all. I hope to never be remembered vain, For that would be a truly evil sin, Thus I leave my book for you and all. ______________ |

Nice work, Vigil! I especially like the second. It takes a gutsy poet to write about poetry.
I have never done it, as I felt I could not say what it meant. I think you cam bloody close, tho. Thank you.

Very nice work. I especially like the second poem. I could really identify with it. It is so universal.

Thanks, I never really share my poetry with people. This is a first. Maybe I should share more often.

Did you notice that Fra. Morelia and I posted replies at the same time and said almost the same thing. We posted without seeing the other.

Haha. Yeah. I guess that means what my poems invoke is pretty constant.

Hey! I forgot I put these on here. I guess this is a bump to see what others think.
