Safely Through Infinity

Your friend is frustrated

There will be bridges

Bridges that must be crossed

And the water

The water is not so clean

Is it the dream that's muddied?

Because I can see the water

And the water

The water is so white

It's the reality that's dirty

And I

I share my dreams

About the one

Where I'm drawing you nude

That's no big secret

I am working with chalk

I am smoothing the white

And the water

The water is so white

And your skin is so white

And I am smoothing your skin

Blending the fabrics of feel

Suddenly

I am engulfed in hair

I derive our pleasure

Safely

through Infinity

I wake

Think about the souls

That we had to bare

Leaving them Behind

In the places where we thought

We made great progress

Left them behind

For people to read

Like discarded hallmarks

We talk that night

About our dreams

In front of the church

AND THERES NOT A DAMN THING GOD CAN DO ABOUT IT!!

Something catches my eye

A shooting star

Quickly

I make a wish

Sadly

It is wasted

Truly.... It already exists

Safely....through Infinity

Through the Years

Through the years there are memories To be cherished

To be shared,Reflected

Like a mirror clarifying an image

Glowing brighter,brighter

Who knew love could be so loud?

Through the years we learn to witness

To see the world around us

To watch our children grow

To learn, to understand

and Yes...to eventually know

Who knew we could feel so proud?

And through the years there is togetherness

As the Good Book tells us-

"Let Nothing Come Between Them

For Together Is Where They Shall Stay

Through the years we will look back and we will meet each others eyes

And we will know our hearts are smiling
