There is a difference between "belief in nothing" (a belief) and having no beliefs. I think that nihilism embraces the former and is often (grammatically) mistaken for the latter.
It is possible to believe in "nothing" along with everything else we believe in. It is not possible to have no beliefs, as I understand the thing.
