eh,inventor of the superman, seeking supergoals & inducing critical thought.
Most religions don't like critical thought, makes them look sheepy. Be the god, beyond good & eveil, then he kills himself with criticism again. By this method he does generate a great point of perspective which can be applied to many things when defining & refining your *self* by elimanation. If you want to study him or slag him off I would be happy to help, particularly with thus spake zarathustra. *** is shamanic pantheist?lolz.sounds great. |

He was the witty dude who said, "What doesn't kill me makes me stronger" --- among other things.

I thought that was Seneca, or some Greek philosopher.

Really? I can't recall offhand in which book Nietzsche says it. Maybe in Beyond Good and Evil. Could be someone also said it before him.

Well, I found it attributed to Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, who was a generation before N. It may be a common saying. Not to steal N's thunder or anything...

Neitzche was a genius.
I am currently reading "Beyond Good & Evil", a literary piece by the aforementioned philosopher... |

I haven't read that one,It took me 10 years to get a handle on TSZ.
Good & evil are just labels for the opposite ends of the same stick,I rely upon Socrates for the best definition of what is good & evil for you, especially well exhibited in his dialogues with Polonius the politician(& thus corrupted) Neitche takes Socratic reductionism to new levels of human template thought,I don't trust a story about other people who are too dead to answer the insights properly. TSZ is all taken from a long intrinsic stare by Neitche into himself, seeing past his programming & own dogma. Brilliance. |
