I've been studying my own epistemology and discovered that I'm an existentialist.

Very mild, but it's pretty critical to my thinking. I've been considering myself something of a Common Sense philosopher, and now I'll have to be an existentialist.

I just read up on existentialism a bit and it sounds like it has a lot in common with postmodernism--is there a historical link? I like postmodernist thought but I can't apply it constantly; it'd suck the fun out of life. : )

Sure is... existentialism defines post-modernism.

I've heard a dozen different descriptions of existentialism, such that I still have no idea what it is.
