On another thread, someone said that evil is a means to an end.
Because I affirm that virtue is a good in itself, I view evil as senseless and unneeded for a healthy life. We can choose good actions from only good choices, and we should work together to make the world a good place that is as free as possible from evil. Evil should never be regarded as a means to an end. We do not need evil to bring about good, because we can do good and be good without evils.

I wonder - how can genocide, famine, murder, rape, and incest be a means to an end?

Do you mean to imply that killing in war is not evil? Or that it is not sometimes a necessary evil, a necessary means to a good end?

Unfortunately, I do not see at the present time how we can have governments without wars, and I think that law is a good thing to have, and we can't have laws without governments. This may be too pessimistic, but I do have my limits.

How it be said evil is a means to an end, and at the same time I'm not sure you could say good is a means to an end either.
I'm not really sure where you're trying to take this Angellous. I would consider good and evil dependant on... intent, and motivation more than the action itself.
