"Humans" I see as being defined differently. Looking at the physical side I do not believe we were "created", but evolved. The soul is what I believe is a part of the Divine, which every living thing has a portion of. I do not think we are any more or less special than just about anything else out there. We just ARE.

I put sacred for the sake of ourselves, although it's not really what my answer would be, but it fit best. I do think that human life is sacred and peace is a worthy goal, whether or not there is a G-d (I favor the theistic side, myself, though I'd still hold that opinion even if I didn't). But, we are still smart meat, blood, and bones floating on a rather lovely damp rock through space. Which is, I think, actually a neat thing to be.
