I am fascinated by Druidism I want to know what those whom call themselves Druids actually do...what defines you as a Druid?
Ok I have said to kcnorwood before that I don't accept that anyone can be a Druid in this day and age however aside from that I am genuinely interested in what contemporary 'Druids' practise, I will suspend my scepticism and accept that Druids exist, for the purposes of this thread, there will be no argument from me on that score, rest assured ![]() Thankyou. |

What IS Druid"ism" about?
I am actually interested too ,though I will never be so arrogant as to say what a person is or isn't, or what they can or can't be. That is for each individual alone, to decide and BEcome.

![]() I don't agree with your last statement either incidently ![]() I would say.... We have no real choices only alternatives offered to us. After all I cannot 'choose' to be King of England now can I? Hmm King Tau I has a nice ring to it....saying that ![]() Last edited by Tau; 06-25-2008 at 08:51 AM. |

What do they do? They live, they eat, they breathe, they go about their daily lives just like everyone else. They're involved in Celtic mythology and worship accordingly. And as far as I know, they're existing quite fine too.

Super, however I was after a little more detail, even I know that Druidism stems from Celtic mythology, however I wanted to know what rituals or observances or whatever our contemporary druids practice.....and how it defines their world view, from actual people not a book, I already have at least one book on Druidism (very informative it was too Way Of The Druid by Graeme Talboys I think), I require anecdotal information, hopefullly from our Druids on this site.

If you've read the books, then why need the "personal anecdotes"?
