Well..
If I asked the Christians what does it mean to be a Christian I would get plenty of responses (I predict) and we could go from there....I don't know what they (modern druids) do or what their philosophy is so I don't know what questions to ask them really.

You said you have read A book which means your basing what you know on what ONE persons ideas. Sounds like to me that your looking for another excuse to say we can't be Druids. Modren day Druids try to follow what the Druids of the past did, it's not alway easy because the Romans whiped them out & lied about who & what they were. Druids never dided out they went into hiding & some became Priest for the church. As with all Pagans we give mother Earth glory & praise & try to protect her from harm. There are some who consider Druidism a lifestyle & not a religion for me it's both.

Wow, I am impressed by the number of people who want to learn about Druidism. I am a modern day Druid, although I practice the Old Ways (at least as far back as we haave teachings for) Druidismm cannot be explained in a quick blurb, so I will be back (as my computer access is timed) to explain further.
