If I have a cakra problem, I use the spare wheel.
Please note that "cakra" is no spelling error, but the way चक्र should be transcribed.

Wow, thanks for all the wonderful advice here! I really appreciate it.
As a follow up, how would you (or anyone) suggest that I start to work with it again? I don't want to blow-torch the forest here ![]()

I've heard that the ideal way to handle kundalini is to allow her to rise during the course of days - not minutes.
This is a concept that I would readily agree with. I'd start meditating on kundalini and opening the channels from the base chakra for a couple of days...........kind of like gently nudging a sleeping giant to wake up - slowly. After a day or two, meditate on the kundalini beginning to expand upward to the perineal second chakra around the reproductive organs. Then a day or two later meditate on raising her to the navel chakra, then the heart.............all with much care and attention. By the time she reaches the crown chakra, it's likely it won't be such a shock to the gross material body.Of course, then I'd suggest going the same route for cooling the fire and descending in the same timeframe. I've done this kind of meditation before with kundalini, and the best IDEAL way that I've done it was to coordinate raising her with moon phases and focusing on the varying planets, zodiac signs, and gods/goddesses that would reside or rule over the different psychic centers. This process took an entire month, but the few times I'd done it I saw increased awareness of each chakra's importance and utilization in my daily life. There's a book called Tantric Yoga by Gavin and Yvonne Frost which I'd assume would be quite welcome in pagan circles because of it's reverence to Earth cycles, moon phases, and gods and goddesses (mostly Hindu terms are used such as Shiva, Shakti, Vishnu, Brahma, etc.....). It does encourage the reader to be polyamorous and to live in a sort of group-marriage setting with several other couples. That suggestion wasn't followed at our house. LOL Their reasoning was different than mine, but the methods are rather similar. *Mystic wonders if she'd hijacked the thread...........* This is just one woman's opinion, ladies and gents. In the end, all I'd say is just pay attention, which really is what meditation is for anyway. Peace, Mystic |
