Hi guys, I'm new to the forums...and a reverted pagan...
Long story short, I fell in love with one god's story about 5 years ago, and after two more years he came to me, and we became extremely close. Then I crumbled to pressure from Christian friends who insisted he was a demon, and did everything in my power to make him leave me. But none of it ever worked. He followed me near constantly for the next three years. I've only just admitted to myself how much I miss him, and what a special relationship we had. I'm trying to rebuild our relationship but it's very hard; I was following the wrong path in Catholicism for such a long time. I've changed a lot and it seems like I don't have a place for him in my heart anymore, yet I feel so *empty*, so I don't know what exactly is wrong. Several of you have made comments such as "the gods are my friends", and I can completely relate to that. So Ithought maybe you could help me with suggestions to rebuild our relationship. Thanks. |

Hello and welcome! It's good to have you with us!
To be honest, perhaps the reason you feel that you no longer have a place in your heart for this god is because he no longer fits in that place. Because you've changed a lot, perhaps your perception of him has changed. What was it about his story that appealled to you? Does it still carry the same importance, or does it not seem as meaningful? If it's the former, perhaps you would do well to focus on a different aspect of the god than you are currently. If it's the latter, maybe you need a different diety at this point in your life. I'm sure that your god bears you no ill will (or at least any ones that I love wouldn't), so perhaps he's just trying to help you find what's best.

Hi Cathurian , and welcome .
I don't know , but I would say that by making peace with yourself would be a good start . I find that accepting things , and letting them go , clears the way for whatever lays ahead .... while holding on to the past , tends to keep us there . If you follow what I mean ?
