Hello, all! I'm new to this site, and glad to meet everyone! (Ack, so nervous! Don't know if I should share my background, spiritually, or if I should just launch right into the question I had... Ah, well, I'll jump right in!)
I do hope this question hasn't been already answered before on another thread (because I know that can be a touchy subject among some forums) but I was hoping for some advice. While I have been raised as a Christian, I've always respected other religions. Only now am I having to reconcile that my own core beliefs simply do not mesh with that which I've grown up with. I am strongly pulled to Paganism, (having a love for shamanism and feeling that this is the group that would most welcome that tradition) and (finally!) my long-winded question is this: is there a difference between Wicca and Goddess worship? If I understand correctly, there are some who say you can follow Wicca and be a Goddess-worshipper, and then there are some who say that this is a different branch of Paganism entirely. I am curious about both 'branches', if they're actually different branches, and hope to learn more from enlightened individuals such as members of this sites seem to be. Thanks in advance! wiccans usually worship/honor (whatever you prefer), a god and a goddess. but i do believe there is a certain branch called dianic (anyone correct me if im wrong), that is more focused on the goddess. but i don't know much about that branch.

Ah...the Dianics. Yes, they are quite the goddess worshippers and if you see where they get their name and their roots...you'd see why.
Nowadays a lot of neo-pagans are focusing more on goddess-worship, it seems, and Wiccans are no exception.

Well, the differences would be with the rest of the religion. Goddess worshipping.. to be honest, I don't know overly much about their practices, but it can't be the same as Wicca or else it would be Wicca, no? ; ) The other laws, beliefs, rules are the differences.
Also, all Wiccans must recognize at least one God and one Goddess - they can choose to worship one more than the other though (Dianics, etc).
