Em Hotep
Just wondering if there's any other Kemetic pagans around. It's always good to know if there's a few around so I don't have to explain too much. Not that I don't mind. I'll quite happily discuss my beliefs. In fact, i'll post them next. Yes. That'll be fun. I just joined here, so I suppose I should let you know where I stand re my beliefs. As for me, I'm closest to Aset, Djehuty and Sebek. I've got a soft spot for Bast, and I have the distinct impression that Bennu's been hanging around lately, especially when I'm writing about Him so He can chatter away in my head about His appearance. It's really quite distracting. bright blessings, Argent

I wouldn't call myself Kemetic, but I've got a sort of attatchment for Ptah (for the idea of the creative power of his tongue, don't know quite how to explain that, but I"m sure you'll know what I mean) and Ma'at (because I like justice. . . more than the average person I mean.
Like I said though, wouldn't call myself Kemetic, I'm more of an eclectic, whatever happens to suit me at the time. Right now it happens to be Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, and Kemetics, although I'm sure it'll change sometime soon. It changing used to upset me, but I"ve gotten used to it now. I'll stop rambling now. Finny |

When I was a young solitary Wiccan (12-15 years old or so) I was immensely attracted to ancient Egyptian religion. While I'm not sure I counted as a Kemetic, I did adopt various deities, myths, and symbols into my religion. I was especially attracted to Isis and Ra, and even today those deities and the ankh hold a special place in my heart.

While I fear I'm not Kemetic (I know I've seen at least one wandering around), I do love Hathor, Bastet, Isis and Sekhmet. (Please use your preferred spelling for each.) Sekhmet really brought home to me the concept of righteous anger, the idea that it was okay to feel fury. I don't feel it often, but I like being more comfortable with it.

Yes, I am Kemetic.
I am the most close to Heru-sa-Aset, I have been for many years. |

Hi there, I'm not Kemetic, but I certainly respect ancient Egyptian religion. It's cool seeing other recons around even if we don't follow the same traditions.
