I was thinking... Paganism and Wicca are so different in so many ways, and, yes, they do share a common general philosophy, but maybe we should have a forum just for Wiccans.

You have a good point. At least from my point of view, Paganism is an "umbrella term." Dare we question?

I understand what you are saying, but Wicca is under the paganism forum simply for organization reasons (just as Taoism and Islam are both under the "Eastern Religions" even though they are incredibly different). There are so many different religions here now that to have them all listed individually on the main page would make the page incredibly cluttered.

No, it's more the fact that there IS NOT a Wiccan forum than anything else.

And there will not be until more Wiccans flock to this site. I believe we have about 3 or 4 active Wiccan posters, total. If that. So encourage your friends, and maybe a seperate forum will be made.

I don't think it should be a big issue that Wicca is under Paganism as long as people remember to differentiate the two. They are not synonyms unlike what popular media tries to portray.
