Default Rules

Every thread/post will be moderated before inclusion.

One on One Debates are for those members wishing to challenge one other person or group.

These debates can be religious or non-religious.

Only the intiator of the debate and responsent(s) will participate in the debate. All other posts, except those of moderation, will be deleted. The initiator may decline the offer of debating a group and pick one of the proposed respondants to debate. A special structure will be given to a debate covering an affirmation of multiple positions

The debate must have:
  • An agreed upon affirmation (the question to be debated).
  • An agreed upon limit to the number of posts each participant may make.
  • An agreed upon time limit for response.(usually expressed as days between a post and it's response).
When the number of posts or the the time limit is breached (without an exception granted by the moderators), the debate will be closed.

The participant taking the affirmation will post first and be followed by a post(s) from the negative side. All ReligiousForum rules for civil discourse will be followed.

Posts exceding the character limit may be posted in a second post with moderator approval without counting towards the limit of posts

ReligiousForums will not judge a "winner" for the debate nor will the posts be considered an opinion expressed by ReligiousForums but only of the participants.

Rules are subject to change at any time and special rules will be posted at the beggining of each debate.
