Default Evolution vs. Creationism/Intelligent Design

This will be a 2 vs. 2 debate. I will be on the side of Evolution, along with someone else, and two other people will be on the side of creationism/intelligent design.

The layout of the debate will be in this form:

1. One introduction from both sides.

2. An opening argument from either side (chosen through a coin flip).

3. A rebuttal from one person of the opposing side.

4. A rebuttle from the side who did the opening argument, but not the person who did the opening argument.

And so forth, until each side has made six rebuttals, each (attempting to) counter the points the other side made, and putting in their own points.

Join the debate!

Evolution:

~~~Druidus~~~
~~~?~~~

Creationism/Intelligent Design

Being a druid, how can you argue for intelligent design or creationism? Maybe im wrong in my opinion, if i am then tell me. I appreciate correction. But, it seems to me that when the god and mother created this world, they created the life force and nature along with it. Thus, explaining evolution in terms of how nature carries itself. I see druidism as kind of a deistic approach, they created and noe just watch it go by. Then, intelligent design says that things are the way they are becuase something is guiding it, making things as we see them today. But in druid terms this is also inappropiate. The gods made the energy which flows through everything, that energy spurs on random events that do not necessarily mean evolution, becuase how could the designer have predicted how humans screwed and arltered the world so much that things are chaning as an effect to our action. i dont know, maybe im being dumb...

You are certainly not being "dumb". One cannot know the answer until one asks the question, either of himself, or of others.

The Source initiated the universe, yes, but the Source did not initiate life. Life arose as a byproduct of the universe, and was not necessarily a required outcome.
