In this video, John McCain panders to the ignorant Religious Right by falsely claiming the United States was founded as a Christian Nation:
YouTube - McCain: America Established as a Christian Nation In contrast, this video shows Obama refusing to pander to the ignorant Religious Right and instead explaining why mixing religion and politics is unwise: YouTube - Barack Obama on Religion Which man shows true leadership? The one who says what he knows is false to get votes, or the one who speaks the truth as he sees it despite the risk he will loose votes?

Simply amazing. 8 years ago, I wanted this man to be president. Not today.

Don't try to convince people with logic Phil. The Obamanites are blind followers who do not want to hear anything good about McCain. They are so ate up with hate for anyone who is able to be sucessful that they want to destroy what this country was founded on, opportunity not a nanny state.
Anything the government controls is a ***********. They want government health care at someone else's expense. Who is going to pay for this? They rail against the money spent that we do not have for the war and want to spend money we don't have for other things. Class envy drives the engine that wants higher capital gains taxes when it is a proven fact that lower taxes creates more revenue. Change for changes sake is idiotic. What if the change is for the worst? Calling The GOP nominee Mcsame is a prime example of this. McCain is by far a better person than GWB. He is his own man and will seperate himself from the party in a heart beat if his personal convictions are in conflict with the party. He is an honest man who loves his country. I wish I could say the same for Obama.

I agree.

Regardless of who wins this fall, we'll have a better president than the one we've got now. I just happen to think we'll have a much better president with Obama than with McCain. But, Rick, I respect your right to differ without being called an idiot or worse for differing. It's time folks in this country started to realize we all have a lot more in common than our differences.

One can be a meal at a fast food restaurant who will remain nameless, while the other can't. This is a crucial difference...

Or as evidenced by the many ways in which he's critical of Bush's policies and proposes substantive changes?
