i think the government takes enough tax on fuel etc as it is , its governments that can influence climate change however eco friendly the individual is, its not going to make a difference , there should be non combustion engine cars on the market and in use by now ,

I have always been passionate about earth issues, I just don't believe everything the scientists say is gospel. That, and it makes me sick how much energy people waste living there self centered life styles.

Are you serious? I'm all for choosing to be energy conscientious but day-um man! What about freedoms?

While I am not a firm global warming believer, OK, actually I think it's the biggest scam in history right up there with the pet rock and marshmallow peeps. But I am a conservation minded man.

The #1 thing you can do to conserve, and this is where you lose even the most radical global warming chicken littles, is stop eating meat. The growing, production and transportation of meat is the single largest contributor to global warming according to the United Nations study on global warming.

Let's face it. I don't care if you glow green at night, but most Americans aren't ready, psychologically and economically, for the arduous task of going green ($$$). Most Americans do not comprehend having to pay more than $4 for a gallon of gas when their tax dollars already do in subsidies. Most green people are joiners and join so for a psychological repentment of their guilt for having nice things and enjoying nice things.

Everyone loves ideas, but in the end, no one loves taxes.

No kidding. What we really need to do is tell all the idealistic young people who are so keen on green to smash their cell phones and iPods and stop wasting energy. That'd get 'em off the bandwagon real fast.

I had a discussion on a car forum about engine idling. These greenies (I call 'em Boogers) were wishing death on people who warm their cars up or idol while they run into the post office. They were screaming and crying for legislation outlawing engine idling. Of course when I suggested that someone idling their car was a matter of them using their private property, that they bought, as they see fit I was flamed beyond belief.
