"Romney was backed by 30 percent, ahead of Arizona Sen. John McCain with 18 percent and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani with 17 percent, according to the poll in the Des Moines Sunday Register." New Hampshire "Mitt Romney is the top presidential hopeful for Republican Party supporters in the Granite State, according to a poll by Zogby International. 35 per cent of likely GOP primary voters in New Hampshire would back the former Massachusetts governor in the 2008 United States primary. Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Arizona senator John McCain are tied for second with 19 per cent, followed by actor and former Tennessee senator Fred Thompson with six per cent, and Texas congressman Ron Paul with three per cent." Does Romney have a chance? Is it a good strategy for Romney to focus on the early primary states so much?
