I felt a lot more discrimination towards Mormonism when I was in Germany than I do in the states. There are two main groups that don't like Mormons: radical conservatives (because we're all lost souls) and radical liberals (because of our traditional values). Unfortunately, these are the people who tend to vote and care about primaries. The rest, which is the majority of the country, could care less one way or the other.

I see Romney having a much better chance getting in as someone else's Vice President than he does getting the nomination himself - but it can still happen.

Some of the members of the church here where I live like to call this the "gold buckle of the Bible Belt". I think that's exagerating a bit - but Jerry Fallwel's funeral will be happening about 5 miles from where I am sitting right now. I've never felt any discrimination against me personally - but last week on the radio when they were talking about Al Sharpton's remarks a few of the callers got pretty annoying. There are a lot of people here that don't like Mormons - I'm just not sure they know we are here

I could vote for Romney at the moment, that is if I wasn't already leaning democrat for this next election.

But that aside as far as politicians are concerned he seems like someone I could vote for.

I think Romney's stand on things will hurt him more than him being Mormon, especially since he doesn't seem to want to shove that in people's faces.

Though, I could be wrong. His support of torture...I mean "alternative interrogation methods"...met with thunderous applause at the debate. So, he may have a chance since he seems more conservative that some of the other runners (specifically McCain and Guiliani).

Guiliani supported the same measures that Romney did in that debate.
