I don't see what the problem is with doing this? It is just making people aware of a polictical figures religious back ground. If Romney wasn't afraid what people would think about him being part of the LDS then what is the problem?

So maybe you could explain how providing people with inaccurate information is educating them.

I'm sorry, I was under the impression that it told what the mormons believed in. That alone would be damaging to his political career though, so I can see the reason for the anger. If it was inaccurate information then yes that would be wrong to do to anyone.

Educating people on what Mormons believe wouldn't be damaging to anyone's political career. There is nothing about our religion that we are trying to hide. What people need to understand is the difference between the core doctrines of the LDS Church and opinions expressed by church members. They are not one and the same. I think this article in the church newsroom has some pretty good advice: http://www.lds.org/ldsnewsroom/v/ind...004e94610aRCRD

Jefferson was one of us!! (tho some of uus don't want him)

"The population of my neighborhood is too slender, and is too much divided into other sects to maintain any one preacher well. I must therefore be contented with being a Unitarian by myself." - TJ

When he was in Philadelphia, he attended the Unitarian church of the minister Joseph Priestly.

"I trust there is not a young man now living in the United States who will not die a Unitarian." - TJ (yeah, boy was he wrong on that one)

And if you really want to get into it, there's this article that starts with the line: "Thomas Jefferson's great grandson famously declared that Jefferson was a conservative Unitarian."

I'm sorry, what part of "Anti-Mormon" didn't you get?

The quote above just negates that "I'm sorry" part of your post.....but I have a feeling you already knew that.

Amazing, not a Patrickist among them.

Have you explained to both of these people that you are now an RF Ambassador (Award designated to members who show great knowledge of their religion. Issue reason-The award has been given to you by the award committee and is well deserved.) and that there are duties and obligations that you must exercise and uphold with this honor?
