Well it is a well known fact that Cain looked at Playboys, listened to death metal, and played Grand Theft Auto. Honestly Romney's stament contained it's own refutation. If this kind of senseless violence have been happening since the dawn of man then how can you blame them on short lived things like porn (well porn has been around forever but the internet is new. and everyone knows the internet is for porn) video games and rock music.

![]() As for blaming it on video games and movies, I don't think so. But that's a helluvalot more sensical than blaming it on our immigration policies, like Buchanan did. ![]()

What possible link does porn necesarily have to murder? Would Mitt have us believe anyone who reads a Playboy is a potential serial killer?

i thank it is easier to blame things on stuff that we don't like, watching CSI, Las Vegas there are some really buzzer things out there that i don't want to even imagine... and the mind is not like the body what you eat can be taken out of the body but what goes into the mind cannot come out too easily, for the shootings i thank it started out as an idea, all things start out spiritually before the become reality. what dose it take for some to thank before they do something this whore-able possible playing video game, watching movies, lessoning to music that promote violence i believe starts a person down the wrong path little by little uncheck grudges, getting more and more angry at the world, until it become a "logical" idea for that person to commit such a terriful crime against his neighbor.
to say that the meada dosn't play a role is to say the gun had nothing to do with it but the bullet... i belive it is a fact, there are lots of studies of kids watching violice on tv and then play acting and being disrupive in class... if you sow evil thoughts and intenchions you will reap evil it will be in reality and no longer in the mind, but there is always a choice no one has to kill...

I doubt we're seeing any significant increase in violence, especially since reports tell of violent crimes decreasing from their highs in the 80s and 90s. Video games especially have become more gruesome since then -- so why the stark contradiction?
At least we don't live in the Middle Ages, where violence was sanctioned by the church and state.

Don't forget that this kid had mental problems so he could have been effected by video games and violence out of normal proportion. The guy who killled John Lennon was effected by Catcher in the Rye. The guy who shot Regan did it to impress Jodie Foster (i think) never underestimate crazy people.

However, I disagree it was porn or video games or music. He was suffering from a mental disease. |

Studies show those who play violent games tend to be more violent. However, play acting and being disruptive is just what boys do, even when they have nothing but the best input. The cliche "boys will be boys" didn't start without a reason. |
