I think the problem comes from differing perspectives...

From mine, abortion(child murder) is one of the worst acts we commit, and saying that an act is close to the vileness of abortion is saying quite a bit about how wrong I view it. I am sorry that this point was sorely misunderstood...

Other than that, I don't think it is nessecarily a reasonable jump to conclude that because one views an act lesser, in regards to "evilness", to another, that that means that one encourages, supports, or even passively does not discourage the lesser act. Even if the lesser is committed to suspend/end the greater. Two wrongs don't equal a right and all that.

I didn't jump to the conclusion. I thought I was very clear on that. But the conclusion is not unreasonable from what you wrote, and that is what is worrisome. Heck, not worrisome. Downright frightening.


Two wrongs don't make a right, and even if one believes that a doctor who is providing abortions is a murderer, it does not justify murdering her or him.

But in addition to that, has it occurred to you that a bomb is a rather indiscriminate way to kill? Not only might one kill the doctor, but also the nurse, and the secretary, and the custodian who is just cleaning up and needs that job to feed her kids, and it might kill women who are there not for abortions but for other services that the clinic offers. It might kill pregnant women whose foetuses one is supposedly trying to save.

I don't like abortions one bit, but I certainly wouldn't support the killing of a doctor/person committing one.

I suspect if the criminal were a Moslim he would have garnished the media for days with a reports like "Terrorist attempts to bomb an abortion clinic." This is one reason I laugh at the War on Terror: terrorism is not an isolated, Middle Eastern threat, and yet we like to pretend that only group X employs the tactic.

Anti-abortion bombers/gunmen need to be delt with as terrorists (well, Guantanamo makes me re-think that statement). Even during the abolition movement in the United States abolitionists looked down upon people who inflicted harm on the slave owners; thankfully from what I've read the man is being charged with attempt to use a WMD.

Killing in the name of God is nothing new, killing in the name of "I didn't think I would get pregnant" and justifying it through that is. I believe in the right for a woman to have an abortion, it should be legal, one shouldn't have to wait for a judge in some courthouse to decide what you can and cannot do to your body, at the same time I would expect all women to understand that if you take a penis between your legs the reality is you might get pregnant so be aware, you can say no.

As far as rape and incest is concerned I would think that the woman would want it to be destroyed ASAP and there should be no hinderance to that . Victimizing a victim twice is abhorrent first by the perpetrator then by the state, no excuse , it is their body and life, not yours.

We are all responsible for this.
